When you recruit, what do you put in place to help prevent talent from defecting and creating a competitive platform?I ask because when I recruit, I recruit people like myself, entrepreneurs, and it’s a mistake because they eventually leave and do their own thing. But I poured investment into these people. Or, should we aim to recruit back up at all times?Thank you! Keep being awesome! Wishing your family peace and love ❤️🐣🐥
Do you have publishing connections for Authors who write Children’s Books ?
Hey Ian, First and foremost this is an amazing thing you are doing for creatives so i applause you and your team. Along with that congrats on all of the success of the clients you work with, the pod, and the Marc and Ian show. My question is for you about systems of success and funding. What are your current systems, practices, or resources that help grow your clients and secondly when the product is extremely strong but reach seems to not be clicking fast enough how do you go about gaining funding ?
Have you had a moment where you knew what you wanted to do, but had no action towards the goal you wanted, if so, what did you do in thise moments to take action and get the ball rolling? For example, did you not go out on the weekends? Did you forget about the world and locked in for 3 months to build momentum? What was it for you?
How do we join your next round of helping creators—especially in the form of mentorship?
When are you going to give me real content? I like the rah rah but the people who follow you want real insight. Let me know if you need some help. I like how you guys are moving
I’ve had a long extensive career in Marketing (17 years to be exact), I started as an assistant and slowly climbed up the corporate ladder. Today, I specialise in B2B thought leadership which includes writing award entries, designing event stands to attract large audiences who consist of existing and prospective clients and paid media e.g advertorials, filming opportunities and speakers sessions for my senior leadership team. I work closely with my Sales
I started a mini ' media company ' well inspired by the hustle and milk road. I've now realized that its much harder. I have grown my IG following to 60k and FB to 42k. I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to monetize and get more email subscribers from this following. What steps can I take to convert more followers to email subscribers and actually make something from it? Not alot. An extra $2k/mo to start would be very meaningful to begin

Hi Ian, I’m a big fan of yours and love everything about the JBN. You all are a great source of inspiration. I one day want to have a role similar to yours. I want to learn from the best. Recently Joe mentioned having a fact checker for the pod. I want to be that. What do I have to do to get that job? I am a young attorney. My job is to research and deal in facts. I can give information to you all in a responsible and unbiased way to make sure the pod is as responsible as possible when they want to be. I look forward to speaking to you. My email is allan.louis99@yahoo.com

Hi Ian, if I have genuine interest in interning for you, your team, and have ideas - how can I work with you on sharing them? What would be the best way?
What works for you in getting people to buy into an idea outside of Joe Budden? Joe Budden gets you in any door now. How do you get your own ideas in rooms now?
How do you overcome fear and build confidence. This can be two separate answers or one answer for tactics to help both.

When do you know to drop a client or end a business relationship? To give context I manage an artist. Two years ago roughly we started working together. Had a whole plan for the first half 2023 where we released a record each month with visuals and everything went as planned. We were building a lot of momentum. Then an unexpected left turn happen. The artists mental health decline as well as some relationship and legal troubles. Understandably put things at a halt besides a loose single At the end of 2023 with not much promotion. I was very understanding and gave him space and my ear when needed. However, the producer who worked on all those songs still has not been paid. We went the whole 2024 with no new releases besides a random visual for a previous song released in 2023. I have called him out on this multiple times but haven’t seen any changes. We do have a personal relationship which is why I have been hesitant to make the decision to end the business relationship. Thoughts or feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ian
Ian. If I have some industry people saying my music is dope. I should continue to push myself as much as possible right? Because see the thing is I look at the music business compared to nfl getting college players. At any level. If you’re good enough they will find you. I know this a rhetorical question.
If i was to start a newsletter, what are your key points to making a successful newsletter? What is the best platform to host your newsletter? How did you grow yours?
Looking at marketing for smaller channels, how are you gaining traction without leveraging ads, one strategy that young creators can build an audience.
How do you learn to embrace that you're actually good enough to deserve it.
What’s good Ian, hope all is well sir. Just a quick question. What are your thoughts on BlueSky? Do you think that it can be a real competitor to X? Or do you believe X will continue to grow and outperform due to its already established user base?
Looking at the creator economy, funding my own projects, taking the production side more seriously, when you are speaking to smaller creators 100k subs or less how does one start the conversation around Ad reads or finding brands that align?
How does one become a better negotiator? Example: When negotiating for oneself in the music industry? Etc.
Do you guys have any openings in your universe?
Whats good Ian! I founded the Bitcoin Classic, a pro tournament paying players on BTC. I want to send you and Joe some snapbacks. They tough. ✊🏾

Feedback is a gift as you say correct, would be nice a gift me some feedback on my podcast? Simpley what you think, any improvements, etc
What are your thoughts on the tokenization of the music industry? I work in the crypto/blockchain industry and would love to hear how you and the team think about. What is it's potential to give power and monetization functionality back to the artists and creators.
What’s your best approach to reaching out to someone in a lane you want to get into?
Kindness vs being Nice.First of all happy on the achievement of number 50, I don’t ever comment, but just wanted to let you know I see you and yall doing your thing and it’s dope. On the theme of your most recent post, speaking about people telling you the truth, how important is it for you and your personal life but also in business to incorporate kindness into that truth telling? I talk to my daughter a lot about kindness versus niceness. The difference for me is one requires the truth and one does not. Niceness to me, can lie to your face while kindness will not spare the truth but does it’s best to be considerate of the listeners feelings. Is this a factor at all for you? I find that I struggle with the subtle art finding the perfect way of delivering the message in a way where people’s feelings don’t get hurt while still being able to deliver what’s needed.
Is there anyway to help with the network? I live in Springfield ma. I could do marketing or some creative role something that adds to the business. Im currently employed just asking to see if there is a need I could fulfill or role needed. Thank you

Hey Ian 👋, I'm an independent artist from Colorado, I've researching how to get my royalties correctly, im gonna sign up to a pro as an artist, and as a publishing company once I set up the llc. My question is how do I pay for marketing properly so I can get the metrics up? I see alot of ads on ig that say they'll get me plays for a $$ amount but is that the way to do it? How do I pay for promo and marketing the correct way??
Good afternoon. I currently live with my family and am turning 30 soon. I am trying to move to a different country to experience a different culture and broaden my creative horizon. At the moment my family believe its best to stay home for a few years and get a mortgage before moving out, but there's no space at home outside my room. I feel stifled in my growth when I'm home. What would you advise someone in my situation? Thank you.
Do you and the team do angel investing? I’ve worked at several early stage startups, left my full time job, and built a project that would benefit well from the brands you’ve grown. If so, how do you evaluate new opportunities?
Yo! Ian do you ever offer consultative calls with entrepreneurs? Maybe even something that people could pay for like 30 minutes?
As the manager of Preme, what suggestions do you have for boom Bap and dance music style producers to get work?

Hi Ian,I am looking to connect my artist with a particular brand that would be a perfect fit for them. What would be a good way to pitch my artist to this brand and how do I ensure I am pitching to the right person in that company?

In reality, I want to get involved with The JBP I don't care what needs to be done I'm willing to do it Other than some crazy stuff I got kids lol
Would you ever invest in someone ? If so what would they have to show you in order to gain that trust?
Will you be my REAL manager ?
Can you see the parallels in this week’s newsletter and the results of the Drake v. Ken rap beef? Everything said here aligns with everything I have experienced about Kendrick’s career. Just wanted to point that out 👊🏽💥🚀
The first question that comes to my mind is, when did you figure out you were on the path of what you're supposed to be doing in life? Also, do you believe in God or what's your stance on religion? I know the second part is kind of random.
With so much content being produced, when it gets oversaturated, would the better opportunity be in continuing to create the IP to own it or just licence it from a creator to use in a different way.
Ian, as a creator, how do you know when you have enough of a career to manage? I’m sure a manager has to see certain criteria in an artist to take their ideas on legitimately; what are those criteria?
Hey Ian I am a BMI-affiliated songwriter. I feel like the person who signed has had some personal issues with me and was gatekeeping/Blocking opportunities. I created a publishing company with ASCAP However, my contract with BMI automatically renewed, leaving me unable to disassociate from them until 2025. In light of this situation, I am seeking some guidance. Should I patiently wait until my contract term ends before fully investing my efforts into my new publishing venture or is it advisable to build up the publishing company in the meantime while still under contract with BMI? What are the potential implications of this course? Looking forward to your insight on this matter.Thank you,Jaron aka Smith Street
Would you peep some of my music?https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9Va1jrS9dV5Gj4pj3rirKgxCwywMR5ng
Do you think location matters anymore within the music and/or film industry?
We all know consistency is key but how do you not burn out from constantly trying to out do yourself in what you do? If I’m not aiming for something I feel worthless so I’m on constant grind mode. How do i not burn out
Ian, how are you doing? This is a honest question.
How do you stay motivated thru heartbreak? I know what I need to do physically and mentally but man when that betrayal from God, I blame him, hits, yo soul don’t let the body move.. because I feel your not yourself and all that.
